Merry Christmas and a little surprise

This year we have spent Christmas in England as the plane ticket prices were so high this year that we couldn't afford for four of us to fly back to Hungary. I still managed to persuade my mum and dad to visit us on 26th so I avoided complete depression and Hungarian Christmas missing.
As we were home we had a real Christmas tree at last which we decorated, we had time for Christmas prepaparation, baking, tree decor making and avoiding stress in general.
It was a nice Christmas and I loved watching the innocent excitement of the boys, how they sprinkled their reindeer food onto our law so Santa can see us from the sky, how they waited for his bell, how Benji got excited for every little Christmas card he had received from his friends in school.
The four of us celebrated on 24th, Christmas Eve according to hungarian tradition so baby Jesus and the angles brought the presents in the evening, on the 25th Santa bought presents to Nana's and Grandad's house and on 26th Nagyi and Papi brought the presents which baby Jesus left at their house in Hungary. :-)) I don't think we will be able to keep up their innocence about who brings the presents for long as even we got confused a few times... :-)
And we have a little surprise, find it on the last picture...

Happy Birthday Mum!

I have not had much time lately to update the English version, hadn't had much time to write often to the Hungarian version either, but the photos are available by clicking to the Hungarian option on the left.
We were lucky to visit Hungary on my mum's 60th, took a bit of begging with Benji's school as they don't like children taken out of term time but we were lucky otherwise we could not have afforded this trip during half-term.
We have been on a spa weekend, where we managed to surprise my mum by organising her friends to come there as well. Some for dinner, some stayed for the night. The hotel itself wasn't the best but had a swimming pool which the children enjoyed, it was close to the Danube so we had a nice walk and stone throwing at the shores. The only problem was that Benji was sick for two nights (I think jumping on the bed for half an hour after dinner didn't help).
During the week we had more fun by visiting Miniversum which is basically a trainset going over three rooms across Hungary's miniature monuments. THe children have buttons all around which you can press and move certain things on the table (a bus, a windmill, a seasaw, a chicken), but you don't know what you are moving, I think I enjoyed it just as much as the boys, it was exciting looking around trying to spot things first :-)
I have managed to go to the theatre as well, went with the family to try a local restaurant which was good (if the Hungarian-Norway match wouldn't have started in the same time and wouldn't have made my dad fidgety...)
Also managed to persuade them to come to England this Christmas as it would save us lots of money which is good. Though Edina can't come, but I hope she will come for her birthday instead :-)

Summer already gone

What's more, even school has started already, back at work, back to routine. So much so that I didn't even have time to upload some photos of our holiday.
It was lucky that we managed to spend 3 weeks in Croatia/Hungary, has a good weather so definitely felt like a holiday, especially that England didn't have much of a summer this year.
It was lovely to see the boys having a good time, Benji conquering his fear of water (haven't actually heard flood being mentioned since - the newest is burglars..), both of their hungarians getting better, Robin's birthday celebrated again (twice), trying new food, water fighting, finding crabs (and scorpions!), sleeping together in the one big bed.
As lack of time let the photos to speak:
